Help and support for young people aged 16–24 with criminal records or those at risk of offending to get into employment, education, or training.
Funded by the Youth Futures Foundation, the Include Project supports young people in Brent and Harrow who are unemployed or not in education, employment or training (NEET), and who may be involved in or on the cusp of the criminal justice system. Around 65–70% of participants are from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
Each young person receives 6–9 months of weekly one-to-one case management support, including up to 12 months of mentoring, information, advice and guidance (IAG), employability training, and job-focused qualifications. Support is tailored to individual needs and designed to build confidence, develop new skills, and create clear pathways into work, training, or education.
The project has already helped over 110 young people to overcome barriers, gain employment, and reduce the risk of reoffending, empowering them to build brighter and more rewarding futures.
We are proud to continue this important work with our partners — RAND UK, Tonic, and Dartington Service Design Lab — co-designing an innovative model that enhances opportunities and outcomes for justice-involved youth.
